A public mural created for the Sinclair gas station in North Bend, Washington

This mural was created for the newly rebranded Sinclair gas station in North Bend, Washington, in collaboration with Designful Interior Co.

The project was commissioned in late March 2026, and I began work on-site on April 20. The mural was completed just in time for the official opening in early May.

Concept

The visual direction was developed together with the Designful Interior Co. team, focusing on bold shapes and a restrained, earthy color palette used consistently throughout the interior rebrand.

The main piece is a large-scale panoramic mural installed above the refrigerators — immediately visible upon entering the space. It creates a strong visual anchor and sets the tone for the entire interior. A secondary, smaller mural is located to the left of the entrance, above the cashier area, continuing the visual language in a more intimate scale.

Both works are inspired by the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, combining mountain forms, water, and subtle local references into simple and orginozed compositions. The approach prioritizes bold shapes and overall feeling rather than fine detail.

Painted with high-quality interior paints by Sherwin-Williams, the murals were designed to integrate seamlessly into a public, everyday environment — visible to both travelers and the local community.
