About
Yana Korneva is a fine art painter born and raised in Minsk, Belarus, and currently based in Redmond, Washington.
She moved to the United States in 2021 and began building a new chapter of her artistic practice shaped by both her Eastern European roots and her life in the Pacific Northwest.
Her work focuses on landscape, memory, and atmosphere. Drawing from childhood experiences, Belarusian nature, and the quiet environments around her today, Yana explores themes of nostalgia, solitude, and stillness.
Working primarily with soft pastels and oil paint, she is interested in light, texture, and emotional tone. Her pieces are not about dramatic scenes, but about subtle moments — places that feel familiar, reflective, and personal.
Through her work, Yana aims to create spaces where viewers can pause, reconnect with their own memories, and experience a sense of calm.
